U.S. History and Geography Fair

The October TEACH meeting will be our US History and Geography Fair.  We are asking families or individual students to select a topic and create a display based on a person, place, or event in US history.

Topics can range from:
1.  A particular event in United States history, such as the Revolutionary War or 9/11
2.  A general topic, such as "How we elect a president"
3.  History/Geography of one of the 50 states
4.  A particular time period, such as the depression era
5.  Movements or revival in America
6.  A famous person or missionary or pastor in America
7.  The history of a particular business in America, such as Chick-fil-a or Ford
Etc...These are just some ideas!

Each exhibit should include a tri-fold display board.  Some of the things you may want to post on the board are a title, a timeline, neatly written or typed summary, bullet points of information, pictures, graphs, God's sovereignty through the event, etc.  We encourage participants to dress in costume, if appropriate, or provide a hand-out or food sample (particularly if presenting a state).  Be creative!

This will not be a judged event, but rather a time of fun (and education!) for the whole family!  Entries may either be by family or individual.  If your family or child wishes to participate, you must pre-register by email to TEACHTLH@gmail.com.  Participation is free for TEACH members and $5 for non-members.

Set-up will begin at 6pm on Thursday, October 27th.  The fair will begin at 7pm.
